Hold on! ...I'm coming

My tribute to the heroism of Mamoudou Gassama, the Malian “Spiderman" who saved a 4 year-old boy hanging from the fourth floor balcony of a Parisian building in May 2018. Without a second thought, he scaled the building and snatched the child to safety in a matter of seconds. My aim was capture the scene in a simple, yet dramatic way. The contrast between the steady gaze of the 22 year old fixed on his target and the sketchy, blurred figure climbing the building (portrayed as a web) is a technique used to portray the speed of the action.
