Puddles

I came across a sepia image of an old bike alone in a city street on a rainy day. What really sparked my interest were the puddles: huge craters dominating the scene. I wanted to exploit the image, injecting strong colour not usually associated with such subjects. Also the poignancy of the lonely push-bike seemed to call out for company. Hence the addition of young lads on their more modern mountain bikes. The mood I wanted to create was one of nostalgia and beauty in the ordinary things of Life.
